crossover for componant speakers

does anyone have componants in there front doors? Where and how have you placed/stuck the crossover? Also can i get 17cm in the door?

Yeah i've got components in the front.

I replaced the door speaker, put the tweeter behind the mirrors base plate. (My cars got electric mirrors so theres no little handles there), the crossover box i hid in the doors arm rest. If you look from the reverse side you'll notice a hole. I squeezed my crossover box down there and screwed a screw into the box slightly to stop it moving and sliding. Theres no need to damage the door cards etc.

Also i didn't have to feed all the wires through the car, they sit in the door. The Fiat Speaker Wiring is pretty good.

thanks for the info, ill put me crosovers there too, the tweeters ill put where the original ones are. Is there a guide anywhere on how to remover door card and armrest etc

Remove the door card is easy, remove inner door handle, unscrew the screws. Then remove the screw near the arm rest and under the door and some screws near the front of the door card.

The arm rest dont come apart from the door card all you do is stick the crossover box behind it.

Others have mounted it in the car and rewired the wiring into the door by drilling holes in the wiring socket.
