Any recommendations for some roof bars for a 2018 CROSS model? I see there's some official FIAT ones plus plenty of tat on ebay plus some in between (e.g.below) but would appreciate advice/suggestion.

I fitted these to our Cross:

Atera roof bars

They have a hex tool that comes with them and it has a built in clutch if I recall correctly. Just do them up until it slips then leave for a 100 miles or so and re-tighten then good to go.

I found them to be as quiet as any other aero bars I have used in the past.

I recently went through this with our Cross. I went for a Thule flush aero bar set up. I was all set to buy new but I did a search on ebay for the part numbers and found the entire set up being advertised for a Volvo V50 for £50. That may well have been a bargain but worth having a look.

There are the Thule parts that make up the kit.
  • Thule WingBar Edge 86 cm roof bar one-pack aluminium | 721300
  • Thule WingBar Edge 77 cm roof bar one-pack aluminium | 721200
  • Thule Edge Raised Rail foot for vehicles four-pack black | 720400
Pros and cons with this set up. With it being flush it's narrower than some option but that is what I wanted as I didn't want the protrusion. You wouldn't want to take this on and off frequently either as it's a pain. Mine is staying on full time. No noticeable noise or mpg increase. Looks really neat. I'll try and pop a picture up later.

Thanks. I'm not wild about removing them so one fit is fine.

On the 169 Panda we had the official FIAT bars and whilst they didn't whistle, they did moan like a disappointed Manx Shearwater.

I have the Fiat ones and they are perfect. No whistle and I have them on all the time. Don’t bother taking them off. Worth noting that the Fiat ones are actually made by Thule but are often found cheaper second hand online.

Hard to show you a wider view as the car is indoors for a DMF but hope that gives you a feel. Really pleased with them.

Meant to mention. On the thule site the ends look different. Same part number. I think I just have the older version. They are fine but the new ones look slightly neater I think.

Oh crikey these are neat indeed. Fittes between the bars - never seen that!

Our 'new' purchase is a City Cross of course (historic dislike of the Twinair/4x4complications). I'd fancied a massively overpriced yellow one 200 miles away as it's the best colour but we went green. The plate I've had on retention for 14 years would be perfect for yours: YE11OWD!

Oh, that is a cool plate! Are you keeping hold of it?

I'll probably sell it. Cost me enough back in 2011 when I bought it from DVLA.

There's also YE11OWF on one site priced at a staggering £20000+ though alas the F is also for Ferrari.
