Just thought I would post a little positive report on the whole purchase process at my local Fiat dealership. Took my parents out looking for small cars at a few months ago and the 500 was their vehicle of choice. Fathers old Rover was over 10 years old so scrappage was ideal. Having looked around at deals we spoke to my local dealership who were excellent. They went over the whole car making sure my parents got exactly what they wanted. Did all the paperwork easily and efficiently, with no rush or pressure. Gave my parents a small discount over and above the scrappage scheme. Kept me informed of the anticipated delivery dates and what was required, often by text message. Kept to their delivery date and time, taking care to explain everything to my parents with no feeling that it was a chore or that they had something better to do. Half a tank of fuel in the vehicle and a complimentary set of Fiat 500 car mats 'as a thank you from the garage for choosing to purchase from them'. All I hope now is that the car looks after them as well as the garage did during the whole purchase process.

One week in and my parents love their little 500 in BNW, cream/black trim, Italian side stripe, rubbing strip with Italian 500 badge, chrome kit and mirrors and have enjoyed the whole experience.

The dealership is quite new to the Fiat franchise, and is called Dandos. They are a small family business and were for years a Peugeot supplier but have now changed to Fiat. They are based in Chipping Sodbury, north of Bristol, and the salesman Alan was the person we dealt with. I hope this may be of some help to people in the Bristol / Bath area who are looking to find a Fiat dealer who really surprised me with their level of customer service!!

Thanks...

That's good to hear - Simonstone are pretty useless. A friend has just had his GP 1.3 Mjet Dynamic serviced at Dando's - £130 all in which is good.

Good to hear a positive for a change - just hope the after sales service is just as good.I sometimes think you are better going to a small family firm as they probably value your business more than the take it or leave it attitude of the large National franchise dealers.
I went to one a few months ago (non Fiat ) and asked for a part exchange value on my car. Can't tell you that sir unless we know which car you want and it will take half an hour to take details and give you a valuation.I said I did not have time so they booked me an appointment a week later - needless to say I did not turn up.

I went into Dandos while looking for punto evos, and i actually spoke to Alan.
he was fine, but didnt give me any offers or incentives to buy from them, might of just been cause i was in an old t-shirt & jeans and didnt look as if i had money.

Huttons in Weston Super Mare offered me mats & full tank of petrol without me even asking, and seemed to want my business but they were abit far out for me.

Simonstone, with threat of going to huttons gave me mats / full tank + discounted satnav (mistake i think!) so i went with simonstone due to that + the fact there local.

I havent been on here long just browsing,,,

thanx for the comments guys , i work in the service reception at Dandos and try to help and give advise for all our new Fiat customers,

Mutch appreciated:)
