Heya,

How you all doin?

Had an accident yesterday! She got hurt and am obviously upset. The guy in front of me braked hard i braked hard and i wheels locked and i skidded a good 6 to 8 feet and went into the back of him. I know i am completely liable but need some ADVICE and HELP!

basically i am insured with quinn direct...i want to have my bravo put into a particular garage to be repaired as i know they do awesome jobs and are the best in the area. They are a massive company and work with all types of main insurers. More to the point the claims woman keeps phoning me up and says i have to go to a garage of her choice however the guy who own the garage says its my choice where i have it done and so therefore she wil hav to accept it here. I told her and she says that if i look at the terms and conditions i will see that it says it has to be done under there choice of repairer. I looked in the terms and its not once mentioned that i have do anything like that!!!

just wanted your views and what you think?

would be much appreciated.

Ask them topoint out exactly whereabouts in their t&c's it states this. Then take it from there

As Wimmy said. Ask them to specifically identify what section, paragraph etc. it states that.

Have you mentioned that your garage mainly does insurance work?

She also said to me as i am adament to hav it repaired ther she said if it is repairable and the repairer givs a good price then she will authorize it!

she is a right C++ ... neways i will let you know what happens and put some pics up of her soon to sho you damage.

Thanks for all your help guys...wanna meet up soon...im in high wycombe so let me know when the next one is up.

Sorry to point this out but Quinn are widely regarded as the worst insurer in the market. (Poor financial security, high incidence of claims rejected, unethical, etc, etc)

Keep a close eye on them at all times throughout the claim process and do not trust them as far as you can throw them!

Insurance

Really? Put it this way though, i am not gonna take insurance out with them again...just hassle.

But thanks for the tip and i will do exactly that Chris.

Cheers bud

UNLUCKY MATE!!!

Quinn direct, by far the cheapest for me when i first got insured and im still with them. im still waiting dor my money 18 months after a small crash!

absolutely f**king useless company!

ringing up on a weekly basis dealing with dimwits who cant follow a single train of thought... just started to get somewhere and now there deciding to just call it 50/50 and split the costs!!
