Methinks adviseable to replace my remote lithium battery.

But can I find ref to type in OH … No!

Please confirm the Croma takes a CR2032.

I’ve heard some folks argue the change-over must be done in seconds – is that true or a leg-pull?

CR2032 is the correct battery. Not sure about the changeover time but to be honest it takes less than ten seconds to change the battery anyway (just timed it ). Last time I changed it there were no problems afterwards. AFAIK the remote code is unaffected by changing the remote battery. Hope this helps.

I recently saw 2 2032 for £2 in Tesco. I get batteries from Babz on ebay, a card of 50 assorted watch batteries under 1.50 inc post. Also 40 ag4/377 for under £2.50, and some decent AA rechargables. I do watch batteries for a local charity shop, and seem to have battery driven LED christmas lights this year. The 2032 is also widely used in desktop computers, (should last over 5 years) and some childrens toys.

I now carry a spare battery in the glovebox/handbook folder. Normally when batteries run low you get pre warnings. In my case I locked the car, started walking away and locking he car at the same time. Came out of stor 10 mins later and cart would no unlock. I tried all the usual tricks of putting fob to head, around windscreen, inside each wheel arch and up the exaust pipe. Zilch!

As I only live amile or so away from the store I got the Barchetta Rescue Service to deliver the spare key.

Of course I could have used the emergency key to unlock the door, the alarm would have gone off and I don't think inserting the key in the ignition will clear down the alarm. Didn't fancy have the alarm blaring whilst waiting for the spare key or driving home with the alrm running.

I keep on meaning to test the "emergency entry" with the alarm set when I'm in a remote location but never seem to remember to do so.

Anybody willing to do some testing and feedback?

I got some decent branded ones from a UK seller on ebay nice and cheap. They've lasted a couple of years so far.
