Correct tyre size for 16's!

Ive got 16 inch alloys on my hgt (standard fiat) which came with 205/45r16 tyres. i now need some new ones but there dosent seem to be a lot in this size, or there more expensive than 17 inch ones!!

just wanted to know what over sizes could i use??
195/45? (new toyo proxes4 would be nice!)
205/40?

any help would be helpful to me beacuse i need all the help i can get so feel free to help me!

The correct size is 195/45 BUT, if its not lowered/kitted, you can fit 195/50 for a bit more ride comfort. 195/50 will knock your speedo accuracy a couple of % though, but not enough to worry about

so have i been using the wrong tyres then?!?

195/45 then, will i notice much differnce between these and the 205 width tyres?
