Hi guys,
Wondering what is the best thing to use to flush through a system full of brown gunk? Car drives beautifully with only 37k on clock and no problems with heating. Never used a flush before, anything I should know about? :)

Thanks

with cars i usually drop the bottom radiator hose off. then just stick a hose pipe in the expansion tank... keep it running for a while and it will run clean :)... then you can put your fancy coolant flush stuff in and then drain and you should be good to go.

just take bottom hose off stick hose pipe in there to flush it thought loosely put hose back on fill with fresh water and run engine for a couple of mins to circulate making sure heater is on hot to make sure that gets flushed out then switch off and do the above another 1 or 2 times and system will be clean then you can refill with correct amount of coolant

if like mine your coolant tank has gone all brown remove it and block all the outlets i used the fingers off some rubber gloves secured with a elastic band then fill bottle to top with a mix of water and cosmic soda and soak like that for an hour then rinse out and hay the tank looks brand new and clear

I'd also recommend putting a catch tank under the bottom pipe.

Antifreeze is strangely appealing to cats, highly poisonous too, causing a slow painful dealth. And if your neightbour finds out you killed their cat and polluted the water table they'll be onto Sepa and SPCA and you'll be up in court before you know it. ;)

lol, always known to use a bucket for exactly that reason. But.. the neighbours cat does keep shi**ing in our garden so maybe it deserves it..??:D

Thanks for the advice. Will do it all tomorrow, put a hose in the expansion tank and then use my 'fancy' flush through it (y)
