Technical coolant leak from core plugs

Hi all, I have just been told that the puddle of water under multipla 1.9jtd is due to a leak from a core plug. My mechanic has told me that the plugs themselves are cheap but to get to the plug the turbo and a bunch of other stuff needs to be removed which is going to cost me a couple of hundred quid. Can anyone verify this or is there a trick to getting a new one in?

Im no expert but i think he is right mate, could you strip it down yourself then get him to do the plug?

Urm, if i had the time to strip it down, i could change the plugs meself!
