Technical Coolant flow direction

Hi Guys
Total newb comment I am sure but I wanted to know the way the coolant flows from the rad, am i right in thinking that the pump pulls the coolant from the lower radiator hose

Yep.
Cold water from the bottom of the rad, through the water pump and into the bottom of the engine block.
