confused abarth owner

Hi,i have been meaning to join for a while cos you seem such a freindly bunch but my question is ,i have a fiat stilo abarth and i have noticed that i have full oil presure but oil on dipstick just covers the last 3mm of stick and should oil be checked when oil has been heated or from cold

From cold or when checking after driving leave 5 mins between the car running and checking.

Thanx for your reply ,i have spoken to a "online" mechanic who tells me that the abarth has an oil capacity of 4.5L of which only 1.5 will read on the dipstick, so although oil was low it was not sufficent to loose a bar from oil presure ?? would welcome any thoughts on this :bang: this is my first fiat, and although i have driven a lot of automatics this selespeed i find soooo much fun,i have found if you slightly lift of throttle before using paddle shift it changes gear much more smother
