Hmmm, I have been pondering this sometime, but I am getting to the stage whereby I need a quality laser.
At the moment, I run a Canon IP5300, which is great for photos and will continue to be my main printer for general stuff / DVD printing, etc.
I also have a Canon 8000F Scanner, which has a high res.
Now I am using this for business as well as pleasure
- so if I need to photocopy anything I use the CanoScan Toolbox, put the doc in the scanner, and either send it to .PDF or direct to the printer. However, when I do my new build, it seems there are NO Vista drivers available for the scanner.
I also need BETTER quality finish for final accounts [even though the inkjet looks relatively good].
Therefore, I need a 3-1 [no need for a fax with a 4-1] laserjet. It also means I can photocopy direct without having to mess with the PC. I did look at the Black & White ones, but this will be limiting for the photocopying [especially when I need to scan passports, driving licence pics, etc], so kind of set my heart on a colour one.
Main things I reckon are high scanner resolution AND more importantly, relatively cheap consumables. I want to stick to the main players, namely Epson, Brother or HP [no Lexmark

Any thoughts? I am flexible with the budget, want something to last and work well instead of having something too cheap and tempremental. I am VAT registered, so will help on the price too
