colour faded

right i have just bought a fiat punto 1999 its red and the colour has faded pretty bad whats the best way to restore it to its orginal colour ( please note i aint too good with car its my first car)

Get some Super Resin Polish made by Autoglym, a couple of foam applicators and a high quality microfibre. this will remove the oxidation that has turned the paint pink, after you have polished with srp you will need to seal the finish with a wax such as HD wax also made by autoglym.

As above start with super resin polish on a damp foam applicator pad use a pea size blob on a 1foot square area at a time and work it in well

If that doesn't work you could try auto glyms paint renovator then srp

As for the sealing I'd go with some auto glum extra gloss protection spread thinly and leave for one hour to cure before removing


Keep all these products off any black textured plastic automotive masking tape to mask it off is a good idea

If you do get any polish on black plastic then AG fast glass works wonders to remove the white marks
