HI, just a quicky, Got my bravo hlx booked in tuesday to have the Clutch done, at present i/we think its the slave cylinder (so thats being checked 1st) thats given up the ghost, the clutch pedal has been slowly going down and not making an effort to come back up,unless assisted by foot, now it is staying down leaving about 2-3 inch of travel, my 1st question is would it be ok to still drive short distances if it is the slave cylinder and my 2nd question, is £165 a fair price for a new clutch (if its not the slave cylinder) ?
oh it's a 1.8 hlx, 1999, 71,000 miles, cheers peeps ;)

Yes and yes
Mine gave up on Saturday morning on my way to work
got it booked in for Monday morning and it's costing £195.

Sorry just to clarify yes it would be ok to drive a short distance but i really do mean short like to the garage that's repairing it and take it easy when you do go.

thanks Rab, was it your clutch or slave that gave up the ghost?,
tried it this morning and it looks like it has the 500 yards in it to the garage, still, should be in about 0830 and out before lunch tuesday.
