Botherations.

My drivers door now opens rather freely as the little bar down by the bottom hinge was kinda snapped (or summat) - can't really work out what has happened.

Opened the door Saturday night and heard a nasty metallic snapping sound and its kinda popped into the door. I can still part of the bar sticking out.

Any ideas on how to fix?

the metal bracket that hold the strap inot place will have snapped mine did the same! ya gotta take the door card off and get insde the door and then take the pin out of the strap should fall out freely and if the brackest snapped it shoudl still be attatched to the strap by the 2 screws that are meant to be holding it ontot the door! now short of fabrication a new bracket in the door the only way i found of fixing it was attaching bigger screws to hold it

this happend on my 1.4 but the mount on the door actually sheared away from the door itself , so in theory the strap was still attached, but not to the door!

Bastard, but sold car so its ok! my new JTD is fine!
