Clucth/Gearbox???

HELP!!!
Hi daugher owns a Seicento 899cc and the clutch pedal fell to the ground when driving. (she is very heavy with her gear changes!)
Put on a new clutch cable , but still the car won,t go into gear? Can select gears when engine is not running and can bump away in 1st gear. Any body got any idea?? :bang:
