Hello folks -I am new to this forum and have just put a deposit down on an 04 Panda which according to garage has only done 3,000 miles. I'm naturally suspicious but they told me the car was owned by a FIAT dealer and used by staff there (car very clean and drives well). The HPI does not indicate any mileage issues and has no register of previous owners so it looks ok. However, I was abit concerned that the wheel trims looked scuffed and the engine was not totally clean looking as one might expect after only 3000 miles. I have been told that 'clocking' is only an issue with private sales and established garages should be ok. Anyone any experiences here with this issue -are there any other checks I can do?
Any advice helpful. Thanks.

Prolly not going to have been driven amazingly carefully if the staff have used it so would sort of explain the trims, wouldn't see them cleaning the bay either.

Uber mileage though and would be sorted with some new trims/alloys and a bit of effort under the bonnet!

very low mileage! however, i would have thought being a dealer, all the stamps are correct in the service book? and being an 04 plate, there would be 2 or 3 MOT certificates to go with the paperwork? all to back up the mileage claim. it would not be unreasonable to ask to see all that...

can do an easy check here:

hope that helps(y)

Went ahead and bought my Fiat Panda 04 after ascertaining the 3,000 miles was genuine. I think it is a good buy-already enjoy driving it tremendously. Thanks for advice.
