the horn and remote radio controls on steering wheel are not working.have been told this means clock spring has gone.as fiat dealer wants nearly £400 just for new part ,and there are lots of clock springs from other models on e bay, iwondered if anyone knows if one of these other models will fit my croma 1.9d eleganza?

It'll need to be one from a model with EXACTLY the same functionalities on the steering wheel as yours.

You also need to make sure the clock spring remains centrally lined up and isnt loose and turned when removed, otherwise it'll be useless as just one turn out, and it can cause the clock spring to fail ones fitted to the car - airbag could suddenly deploy.

I personally would test your existing clock spring first with a continuity tester before deciding to replace, incase it is something else that has failed.
