Hi Guys. I have owned a X250 2007 Ducato based MoHo for 9 years. The clock intermittently looses time and when we are in the vehicle, at rest normally, there is a loudish click, similar to a relay clicking in and out, the dash goes dead for a few seconds and then comes back to life but because it happens so often I think this is the reason for the clock loosing time. Also whilst travelling sometimes, the gauges all stop and the dashboard dies for a couple of seconds then comes back to life. It has been doing this for at least 5 years and although doesn't appear to be getting any worse it is getting annoying and although I have been a mechanic all of my life I can't find the fault!
Any ideas please? Cheers

loose terminals or connection at the instrument panel its self?

for it to happen intermittently... it sounds like a connector issue.
I'd wiggle the connector behind the instrument cluster and see if it cuts out on you.

the top cover of the instrument panel is held on with two torx screws. take them out. pull upwards on the instrument panel top cover and it'll pull off.

Hi,
My 2005 Ducato Motorhome is currently in the dealership with a similar problem.
If the key is knocked even slightly, or I hit a pothole, I lose all lights and the dash goes dead, however, the engine continues to run. touch the key and all comes back to life!
Has had new lockset fitted with 2 new keys but still happening.
Will let you know what they say.

did the ignition rebuild sort your problem not sure but maybe similar to my light wows issue as posted tonight
