Why do lights like this never make it to the UK... :(

bumming round the net, looks like someone has had a try to see what it would look like,

i was talking to chas about it the other day, the possiblity of a limited run or clear tailights, not white as i guess the shade would have to be spot on to allow enough light through, the mrs is off to india at the end of the year, and she's gonna speak to a friend out there who does plastics manufacture to get an idea of the costs involved in reverse engineering a clear polycarbonate tail light cover

of course that would only be a first step as the actual holder would need to be modified and repainted to make it look ok...still worth a try
 
Damn those lights are gorgeous, i'd love a pair of those, Apparently there isnt enough demand for such lights in the UK which is why they do not make them. I asked ABC who do make the front clear indicators and that is what they told me, they said the costs of creating them from scratch far outweighs the positive returns they would like to make from such products. I suppose if we all bombard them with requests to make the tail lights it may work but who knows...

u can get Smoked back lights but only fit Uno's made up till year 1991. The standard rear lights after that year have half smoked. I got clear front indcators since orange didt go hehe :p
