Just got a quote from our current insurer Amaguiz:

15€ per month fully comp; windscreen and lights; breakdown cover; legal cover.

Seems cheap enough.

But the brake down cover is rubbish from "one call" only covers you within 10 miles of home, cost you £20 per call out and cars over 15 years old have an extra £60 excess. you can get a lot of cover for £80 AA /RAC etc

But it's free with the policy LOL
Price only goes up a few pounds if I have no voluntary charge

Does it go down if you do more miles, so it spends less time parked on the road 'IN LONDON'?

Mines parked in Bury, and.I tried a.similar line of well if im driving it they cant as easiky steal.it so surely me doing 16k a year is beneficary to you the insurarer and the police......but insurers just have.deep.pockets and no sense of humour.

Half of those policies are probably hardly worth the paper they're written on in fairness though.

I've not looked, but I'd be surprised if all of those in your screen shot are recognised by Defaqto, and if they are I would be surprised if they're 4 or 5 star rated.

Have you got a link to find out the star rating cheers

Just for future reference for others.

I'm 26 living in Leeds. Car value 2k, 3000miles year, no points or accidents in last 5 years, only me on the policy, fully comp.

Peter James £308.02/year with a £200 excess

Peter S Taylor no good for me as my Panda is my only car at the moment.

Footman James £250/year (think it was £200 excess)

Adrian Flux £225/year, £250 excess, £15 extra for agreed value and I can keep and use no claims, where was Footman James and Peter James I can't.

Waiting for renewal from Admiral but I expect this to be more, I've just come off a multi car policy with my Clio but just sold that so that's why I am looking at Classic policies.

As my multicar policy is up for renewal and my current insirer (Admiral) quoted me nearly £1.3k for 3 cars for 2 drivers. Price break looks £700 subaru + £300 panda + £300 panda 2 and i'm totaly not happy with it!! So been on phone with P.James as I'm curious what they can offer me. I'll give a second chance to Admiral as well but it is preety unlikely they can go below 1k.

Don't forget the other multicar insurers such as Aviva, Directline, Churchill etc (y)

I'll check the others as well.

After 40min on the phone with Admiral where nice lady called Dorotty used her magic wand applying misterious loyality discount for personal indjury and each car individually, and again for grand total of £1031(£534+£245+£250) Masive price dropp, just shows how much they still want to rip you off even after 4 years in a row. Still looking forward to other quotes. Come on PJ show whatt you can!

Lucky you mate!

I've been quoted £210 each by PJ, and they can't insure the subaru :-(

Can't figure out what makes the differnce? Wife? EU driving licence?

Anyway - Admiral's second offer seems to be the best one for now.

PJ charges me £50 a panda :)

Palio its it PJ you're with?

Potentially any of those, as well as possibly location etc.

Did you try the others I suggested or have you just decided to go with admirals? Just others may be just as well priced, but potentially with a better level of cover.

Yes Peter James. Vernon has cars with them too & is very happy - lots are, but clearly they work on risk like every other insurer.

Bob took Panto up to the NEC and I added him to the policy - £32 something to add him permanently to the classic policy, so he's covered on all the older ones inc the Coupe - I thought that was pretty good (it was an admin fee, I don't think it will raise the premium in Dec!). (y)
