Worth a mention I think...

The last few years I have noticed some of the larger firms sticking their premiums up quite alot.

My Sergio is up for renewal now and the quote from Lancaster has jumped to £166.37...they bought it down to £156.37 which would have been the most I have ever paid for a panda by a long way.

Rang Peter James and the quote was £340.. sorry Gavin I know they treat you well.

So, rang one from classic car weekly called Peter S Taylor...... £89.80.

Now the limitations are 3000mls and no breakdown cover...that's it. The car is not garaged.

So, happy days...worth a call if you need a quote.

Wow just shows it pays to ring round!

You must be a very dodgy character Kev - that's a huge quote from PJ compared to other people. Maybe Vern & I have struck lucky with our risk factors, but I could potentially add 10 Panda's to my policy for that -

Anyway glad you've found a decent quote somewhere.

The moral of the story to misquote Orwell, is that while all Panda insurance is equal, some is more equal than others. Well something like that anyway ;)

Both my Pandas are insured via Flux Direct.

5,000 mile, pre-agreed value and £178 fully comp' with £100 excess for the Fantasia with six years no claims and £186 for the 4x4 with zero no claims and £250 excess.

You lucky lucky people i pay nearly £800 for mine, 250 voluntary excess, and 350 compulsory. No breakdown. No nothing

So if anything ever happens i will never get any money for my car.

Glad you've got a good deal as well Brian. (y) I'll be knackered if Peter James hike the rates suddenly - too many cars on the policy now, yes I'm admitting I have too many cars  Too many to use anyway, which may be slightly different to believing there is some sort of "normality threshold" for the number of cars.

In my defence I keep trying to sell one, fail miserably (by not really trying!), then get offered something I can't refuse (usually it needs rescuing). Was that a defence???!!! :)

I have my Mk1 insured on a classic policy with Lynbrook Insurance, I'm 21 and it was £211 for the year, with an agreed valuation and 3000 miles per year. You do need to have another car for everyday use but its the only company I have found that will do classic policies for under 25s. I'm hoping I will be able to add my Sisley to the same policy also.

If I wanted a normal policy to use a Panda everyday I'd be looking at between £3-400.
