hi i have just bought a punto a few weeks ago can any one tell me what is the purpose of the button marked "city" i have no manuel for the car
so hopeing you guys can help please?

mine doesnt i was even brave enough to turn it on doing 70 just to see coz i heard it switches off at high speeds

will more than likely just be the play in your steering wheel, as you can't turn a proper corner at 70mph cause you'll crash.

I don't bother with it, as far as my Panda is concerned I am driving a small car not a bloody great truck, why do I need help with turning an already light steering car ?

If you need the city button how do you manage to open jam jars ? :D

nah i definitely know its doing something changing lanes ect it feels lighter and the city light is still lit up on the dashboard

if you can feel a difference changing lanes on a motorway, how violently do you change lanes.
it is designed to knock of at 30mph (yes the light still stays on)

either way its girl mode Pansies :p

i agree. its for women :p.
but i used mine to see how difrent it is. pritty sure it doesn't turn off after 30mph though as on national speed limit country roads i tryed it and was very light on corners. and yes iv been down the same roads with the city mode off. can tell the diffrenmce. but i never use it. way to light for me. controle of the car doesn't seem real to me with it on. more like playing a game lol. i like to feel in controle and as though im doing the work.(y)

I be no pansy, I drove Classic Panda's for years! lol.

Just see it as if you have it, feel free to use it.

In Stilo is make hell of a difference on the back roads in central london :)

i dont think it makes much difference on stilo. (only used it once when i got car to test it) and i have wide tyres lol.
and with the position of the button on the stilo makes it more difficult to turn on anyway being on the other side of the gearstick.

I have used it in my Fiat Panda and notice the steering is super light with it on, personally i have always managed without it in my other cars so i don't even bother or think of putting it on.

Must say thou it could be handy now and then when making big turns in small spaces. Overall it's good but i am used to never using one so don't use it at all, i only tried it once or twice as i never had a car with a city button and was eager to know what it was like with one.

im pretty sure mine dont cut out at 30mph and i dont change lanes like a maniac but it was early hours of the morning and i thought id test if it does cut out or not by swerving around a bit

not in a dangerous way of course

doesn't sound it (dangerous i mean). swerving in and out :D

but i know what you mean as iv had it on, on the motorway and you can just tell the difference even by slight movement of the steering wheel. so im with you on that it don't cut out.
