Cisco

I did half a Cisco course at College, then college abandond it as for some reason, we were not allowed to be taught it for free

You read through information on a computer, a few chapters, usually straight forward, then take an exam on computer.

Don't really need to revise as such just make sure you read the relevant chapters thuroughly before the exam.

I used to do all the Cisco, Citrix, Windows 2000 stuff until I got bored of it all. Just run Cisco projects and the like now and don't get my hands too dirty which has it upside and downside. One of the chaps at our place was doing his CCIE, he had a shed load of kit off ebay and loan kit and a Sun box to practice with, probably the best way of learning with the actual hardware.

What is SAN/NAS?
Storage Area Networking, and Network Attached Storage.
SANs generally cost a fair amount of money, and are used to consolidate storage, particularly for clustering.
NAS is a way of attaching large amounts of storage fairly cheaply.

i done up to CCNA4 at uni so far, runs along side my course - my networking module is basically the CCNA course, which is kinda handy - means i come out with a degree and CCNA qualifications, which is nice.

i did it was way boring, not my kind of learning at all, i like to get stuck in

was fortunate to have the course free in college and uni, i wouldnt really bothered with it otherwise

Just signed up for sem2 on mine to do of an evening. I thought sem1 was pretty interesting. And it also takes a fair bit to keep me amused :)

Nice course so far
