Don't really post much of my own but could do with some advice
As you may or may not know I have a Seicento Schumacher which I have spent quite a lot of time and effort getting it back into a really nice standard car which I'm over the moon with so I needed another project to keep me occupied.
I chanced upon a Cinqucento SX at a really good price (well in my eyes anyway) turns out she has been lowered on Apex springs and been poly bushed
After a bit of poking about I have found a bit of welding that needs sorting out once I have the fuel tank and rear axle beam out for refurbishment
My thoughts have turned to a possible engine upgrade and this is where I need the advice as there seems to be quite a few options
I have looked at the 1.2 16v engine as these seem plentiful but is there a better option and what exactly will I need I:e gearbox, driveshafts ,ecu etc
I don't have a problem with the mechanical side of things and can follow wiring diagrams
By trade I'm a HGV mechanic working on airport ground support equipment but unfortunately technology has overtaken me and don't really know the ins and outs of modern emission systems when it comes to a decat exhaust system and what it would entail
This is likely to be a long term project due to helping kids rebuild houses etc so plenty of time to consider the options
