Technical Cinq cigar lighter removal

Hi folks,

I've been trying without success to pull the cigar lighter out of my Cinq Sporting. I can easily unplug the electrics, and the socket comes out a little way, then gets stuck on the green plastic lighting 'lump' on the side. There's a black plastic 'shield' which unclips from the green lump, but I can't see if / how the green lump itself can be detached from the metal socket tube.

Could someone please help?

The plasic bit stops the metal bit coming out because of holes. The plastic bit has things that are in the holes. These need to be pushed out of the holes whilst pulling metal bit.
Or, Crush the sh*t out of it with pliers and fit a new one.

I've only ever done one on a Sei -- and, although I remember it being a right PITA, I can't remember how I did it.
