Had to be towed home this morning - had got about 2 miles from home when it cutout.

Injection and code light come on and stay on when I try to start engine - engine turns over fine but doesn't fire. Same with blue or red key - tried the emergency start procedure in the handbook using the code on the card - what a bother - didn't work after 4 attempts doing the accelerator pedal thing gave that up.

checked the fuel supply - nothing being pumped to engine.

Have tried pressing the fuel cut off switch under the dashboard - didn't do anything.

have tried disconnecting the ecu in the hope that it might reset something - left it 10 mins reconnected but no change.

Anyone got any suggestions, they would be much appreciated - guy with tow truck has pointed me to an unofficial fiat garage ( local dealer made a complete bodge of replacing the fuel tank when it was subject to the recall ) so I will be ringing them if you can't help.....

Done a lot of repairs on my Cinq had it since a year old so now I have found this forum I will be keping in touch to contribute.

Who cares about my post count - it's all about quality not quantity!!
(at least thats what i tell myself anyway)

if the code light's on, I'd suggest it'd be something to do with the ecu, transponder or pickup piece around the ignition switch. Trouble is, I'd hate to tell anyone to replace anything if I couldn't be sure it'd fix it.
