Cigarette mod for neons

Alright lads is there anyone who can give me a step by step guide of the Cigarette mod for neons so i dont balls it up this weekend.

Cig Mod? do you mean unclipping the wires and running neons from that??

If so why not use the spare wire loom located under the coin try in front of the handbrake?

The red wire with a blue stripe and blue wire with a red stripe are live and black earth!

i think the point of taking a lead off the lighter is so that it comes on with the lights, but if the wire loom under the coin tray is for the heated seats it would be a good power source.

do you want them to come on with lights or on a switch?

Hi,

1)Unscrew the cigarette lighter tray
2) Remove the cigarret lighter holder
3) There should be three wires: Black(ground), two other wires (forget whcih colour now! soz)
4) anyways, the thicker of the two wires is the constant feed for the actual lighter - which you dont want.
5) The wire you are left with is what you need to connect your neons to.
6) I unclipped the holder which holds the ends of the three wires, removed the one i needed, opened up the spade and crimped in my other neons wires (+)
7) Once you have done that, remember to connect the (-) of the neon wires to the ground (black) wire in the lighter holder.

All done!

bloody hell i went through alot more then that to do my neons i disconected the glove box light as it didint work anyway and ran 2 switches from that for my neons 1 for the interior neons and the other for my dancing neons as they can only be on at certain times.
