Need some help/advice when it comes to chroming.

I have a BMX i was going to scrap, but after going on Ebay, seen a mint one was worth about £300+ on ebay, and keeping an eye on this 1980s specific model, it seems to be worth a lot of money... if it wasnt rusty.

so im planning to do it up. the last time i looked at it i think it was a bit too far gone for chrome polish, so want to get it re-chromed. So im looking at BMX frame, forks and handle bars to re-chrome.

do chrome platers strip the old chrome first? how is it done? and more importantly, cost!

oh and anyone know anyone who does it? pref north west uk?

i can keep an eye out for catalogs at work.
we would shotblast/ needle gun chrome off should work.
would reccomend using a wheel finisher and sand blasting

we have never had anything chromed

all it is is making the steel more desirable to be on than the chrome block, then add a current though a medium of some sort of water.
didnt watch video before posting but yes

you should be able to remove the chrome yourself if you wish.
when we have stuff galvanised they do got hough a cleaning process but just to get rid off oil
