Hi,

Up until a few years ago all the chrome spray paints around were more like 'chrome effect' (i.e. silver + lacquer). However I've seen pictures recently where people have resprayed air vent surrounds and small bits of plastic trim and got a nice shiny finish.

Anyone familiar with chrome (rattle can) spray paints? Do any decent ones exist? Any recommendations? I would like it to be as reflective as possible, not just gloss.

I'll be doing a few pieces of interior trim, but if I can find really decent stuff, maybe wheels as a project.

Cheers. ST.

Alclad chrome gives excellent results, but I don't think it comes in an aerosol. Maybe it'd be worth buying a cheap airbrush?

Thanks for the replies.

Clockworks, I looked into alclad chrome paints, see image below.

The part on the left is black basecoat and chrome, the one on the right is black basecoat and lacquer then chrome. Would look even better with a decent clean/polish imo. Only problem is getting an airbrush...
