‘78 124 with 32 Webber, opened choke spring case, won’t go back together, even just pushing butterfly it won’t shut, hitting some screw there. I didn’t change anything.
this may be connected to why she won’t run, only for a few seconds then snaps and pops through carb and dies. I’m stuck on this one. Though it was vac issue, but no leaks I can find, then timing, has elect. Ign, I didn’t mess with anything but carb.

any help would be a big big help
thanks in advance…

Not in any order but popping and stalling is a typical too rich or to lean mixture issue. On the lean side then popping generally occurs after several start cycles. Either way your symptoms sound like a fual/air issue.

The fact that you worked on the "choke spring casing" suggests you issue lies there. The problem I have here, remotely, is that I'm not familiar with your vehicle's car and Webber 32 is just too generic and there are many Webber 32 carbs out there.
