ok getting annoyed now...

since nige isnt getting the software to go 1.6 ecu's im looking else where... sorry nige but i need more power.... looking on http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk/ and moving around i came across POWER CHIPS £150 for a non turbo... not asked them if they can do mine yet as they need the ECU number...

so my questions are..

1) wat is the ECU number??
2) any 1 tell me wat kind of bhp gain i will get???
3) are power chips any good??

my car is a 1.6 2001 brava with 36000 miles on clock, due a service very soon and a new clutch...

Buy it for £150, nip your ECU off then prize the cover off with a blunt screwdriver then whack the chip in. Its dead easy and cheap thats why everyone has done it.

according to powerchips website, the power increase is 9 Bhp

You cant even change a wheel without asking here - I dread to think what you are going to do to your ECU!

Tell you what mate, you take some pics of you doing it and I will learn

On the serious side, it looks a good £ / performance increase, but I would pay them to do it if I were you

see if i knew it was u i wouldnt of lost my top... thought it was some punk arsed kid thinking he knew it all sorry.... i was gonna pay them to do it u have to go to chesire to there garage... bit far away but worth it i reckon... unless u have a change of heart and get the software needed nige... ill be ur first customer i got the cash here...

i can change a wheel when i can get the car in the air.... i can do most things... check oil top it up... over fill it... hack out the out air box with a jigsaw and fit an induction kit... and i can operate the windows... wat more do i need to know lol

do it yourself smee, all you have to do is twist a few bits of wire around the chip pins then twist them onto the car. seems to be what most people do with car electrics anyway! not that i've ever come accross shoddy wiring in cars!

i aint touching my electrics lol. rather let them do it and if it ****s they replace it... no bad consider they only want £30 to fit it
