Cheers Smee... 1.6 easy induction fitting solution

Thanks mate, fitted the filter a minute ago
(Not a patch on yours Jayfish I know! That looks amazing!!) but on a budget (and with a proper cold feed pipe to follow), a very easy solution for the 1.6 that you famously can't get a kit for! Cheer Smee too for the fitting idea. I was thinking of spending a fortune on a real silicon pipe til you mentioned using the fiat pipe!

I got some pipe from a Tipo at a breakers (a bit smaller so it actually fits inside at both ends), I didn't have to sacrifice my original air feed pipe.

I know I know I know the original pipe is too restrictive, an ideally should be replaced, but like I said, on a budget, this sounds sweet!

Yeah Tom, I'm talking about getting it fitted for the grand total of £3 for an old pipe from a breakers, hence the words 'On A Budget'. I know its not as pretty as yours!

nice to see it finally in... didnt take u long at all... how did u get the old one out and that 1 in??? i hacked mine out and bent my wing to get it in cos i couldnt be bothered to jack it up.

Only took about half an hour. I was gutted when I realised I had to take off the plastic lining, but it turned out to be really easy, only about six screws, and I didn't even have to take the wheel off.

I'm thinking I might put the standard airbox back on when the car goes in for bonnet repairs, as it's not mentioned on my insurance!!

Sounds really good. I nice bark! Bet I use tons more fuel now, it'll be foot to the floor everywhere I go!

yeah it got a nice sound to it but u can keep it quite if need be.... to tell the truth i seem to get better mile out of mine... i use to get 280 miles to a full tank and now i thrash it i get 320 miles to a tank.. (a full tank it 3/4's i never go below 1/4) glad your happy...
