Dear Fiat Drivers,

I got a question. Because my left xenon bulb flickers sometimes, I decided to change both bulbs.
After removing the iron clips, I thought I could take the bulb out of its position. But it won't come out. It only moves for a tiny bit.

I think the connector on the lower side of the bulb has to be disconnected to take the bulb out. But I can't get the connector disconnected. At the local Fiat dealer they told me they had never seen a Fiat Bravo with standard xenon before and advised me to take the entire headlights off:confused:

Somebody can help me? I posted a picture below, so you can see the situation.

I knew I had to disconnect the connector. And... I managed to do that. Don't ask me how...
Brutal force! The wired connector is just way to short! The angle in which the connector have to fit into the bulb is idiotic. Because of that I ruined one of my bulbs... (n):mad:

What was the problem with giving the wired connector a little bit more length Fiat?
 
But it doesn't solve the problem with the short wire. :p

To be honest, the wire does not look too short. If you look at the last illustration in the pdf file, you will see it is coiled around the lamp holder, and from what I can see from your picture, your car is the same.

Discharge lights need a high voltage spike to to to ignite the arc. The control gear needs to be as close as possible to the lamp so the spike doesn't get reduced in transit. ( I don't want to become "Telford Engineer", but I do know what I'm talking about on this subject. )

I don't doubt you greatness, but I also don't doubt my 3 houres work underneath the bonnet. You can't take the light off like in your info. The wire is to short to pull the bulb backwards out of its position. That means you can't get the bulb out of the headlight.
You have to disconnect the connector from the bulb, in its normal position.
The fit is extremely tight, what means you need a lot of force to disconnect the connector from the bulb.

ok,so,go to authorised fiat service center and ask them to watch how they are uninstalling the lamp and then come here back to tell us what you see ;)
