Technical Changing heater matrix

Our dear 20v Marea has decided to dump its coolant all over the front footwells. As you'd expect, water is dripping from the heater box, so it looks like the heather matrix has sprung.

Can anyone advise whether replacing this is a simple hour's spannering, or an entire dash out day-long slog? The former I might have a crack at....

its not the dash out, but its quite a tight fit, and it take longer than an 1 hour. I'd also buy the pipes to the matrix also as these can also leak at the joints.

lots of people on here have bung a bottle of barrs leak or rad weld in and its stopped the matrix leaking,

Thanks for the replies, both. I also found a copy of the Haynes Book Of Lies for the Brava in the local library, and the section there on the matrix looks like what you described - not quite an entire dash out job, but a bit of a slog.
