Does anybody know how hard it is or how to remove a bootlid/tailgate?

Thanks

its easy mate

open boot and remove all the plastic trim from the inside. disconnest the rear wiper (power and water) remove high level break light and disconnect the rear heating element power supply.

the black tubing at the top that houses the wire and water feed needs to be pulled from the boot lid and then pull the wires etc through and out the boot lid.

next slacken off the 2 13mm bolts hiding under the 2 plastic bits in the roof lining at the back.

remove the top clips from the boot lifters / holders and then undo the rest of the bolts. make sure you keep an eye on the lifters / have a mate to support the boot and once the bolts are undo lift and wiggle the lifters free as needs be

jobs a goodun

It must be easy I even I managed to do it once.

One thing I should add. When pulling the wires and the tubing through attach them to a long piece of string. When the tubing and wires are out keep the string inside the tailgait.

When reconnecting this tailgate attach wires and tubing to string to easily pull it back through again

Saves a lot of hassle trying to thread that bloody tubing back through though. :)

good advice but i'd use cable you'll be annoyed if it snapped back to square one with additional lost time!

Boot Lid

I changed my boot lid a few months ago, and it took me nearly an hour complete !! Simply an easy job. Jus get yourself an extra pair of hands to ofer the replacement lid onto your motor.

Be careful with the heated window contacts, they can break off reAlly easy, but solder back on too !
