General Change Marea Battery

Came back from 4 weeks hols and S reg Marea will not start.
tried to remove battery .. could not
how do I do this - the battery is fixed by a back band which is fixed to the car by a nut at the side of a bottom of the battery
how do I get the battery out ??
how do I check if the problem is the battery, should I charge it up overnight
and try again (battery is only 1 year old)

How do

the battery is removed by undoing the 13mm nut retaining the arm with the strap on you described, once you have removed the nut pull the arm off and pull the battery out
