I found that by changing byte 65 with MES, it is possible to change the appearance of the TFT cluster.
So far I found these options
00 : Lounge/Pop
20 : same as 00 but with slightly different font
40 : Sport. It has a turbo boost gauge instead of Eco
60 : Abarth

But it seems there are more options, for example throttle position or current MPG instead of the useless ECO gauge.
Has anyone found the codes for these options?

I'm just trying to get mine to change font and model option, it might be I'm doing something wrong but all I can get is the top one of the two photos. Did you manage to get anywhere with yours?

a bit; I have a 2016 Lounge and changing byte 65 to '60' changed the layout to the second photo.
So instead of a Lounge, I have now a white Abarth car on the display. (it's still a convertible, like I have. I'm not sure where the display gets that information from)

I also still had the Eco gauge on the right. I changed to function of the City button to Sport (with MES)
So now when I flip the City switch, the layout changes and the Eco gauge is now a Throttle gauge.

Top is normal, bottom is with Sport activated. G force and Gas% don't do anything. I guess my car is lacking the necessary hardware to show it.
Unfortunately there is no option to show the milage with Sport activated.

Thanks for that, it's good information for mine 👍
I'm not sure why mine doesn't change though, I can swap through the different byte numbers like 00, 60,40 etc but nothing alters? Even when I selected the eco as a sport button the dash never changed. I wonder if I'm not following the process properly?

Did you ever work this out? I had a cluster from an Abarth I installed to a 2012 sport. Before proxy alignment the image was a cabriolet and the Abarth logo start up screen. Post proxy it’s a hard top with the 500 startup. Byte 65 at 00 is the fat font and a lounge car, byte 65 at 20, 40, and 60 are all sport trim white hard top with the thin font speed and the red check rev bars and non-functioning gforce and throttle. I assume it’s a combination of byte 65 and engine?

No sorry, didn't really get ant further with it. I tried numerous settings but found mine didn't really change from the same white 500 picture. Be nice to work it out though, was hoping to have a boost gauge on the screen for a twin air? I'm sure there's probably a way to get it to work.

Without proper knowledge of what all the bytes do, it will be really difficult to figure it out.
One option could be to compare the HEX string between similar cars. But then there is also the difference between Blue&Me and the later uConnect cars.

The later cars have a much longer string but it seems the first section is comparable with the older model. I would be nice to see a database of Hex and specs to compare but I don't think enough people have taken the time to have a look so it would be difficult.

The string edit feature has been in Multiecuscan for a while now, surely someone has had a go at this?
