Well UK owners will know the value of a Heritage certificate for a classic Mini or such...
Often you see adverts for 500s with an ASI Gold certificate.... well form what I understand, ASI is a car club that issues a certificate that can be based on several photos and a small fee, this certificate allows the car owner to obtain cheaper road tax and insurance in Italy... similar schemes operate in other countries...
Who is to say the photos are of the actual car - tut that anyone would do such a thing!!!
We are lucky in the UK that simply the age of the vehicle is all that is required to obtain such things, as numbers suggest that there are not that many exempt classics being driven as daily drivers.... So we do have an easy ride in the UK regarding this and re-registering cars that have little or no paperwork....
Well it seems Chrysler/Fiat have decided to get in on the act also...

considering there is very little factory info regarding 500s... the image of the certificate looks like something (those of a certain age may remember) produced by using "Certificate Maker"....
I am willing to join in this certificate business... and for an all inclusive price of £100.... all you need to do is send me a few pictures of a fiat 500, your registration number chassis number and your name, full bank account details, a recent utility bill and a copy of your passport or drivers license I will produce a high quality certificate with a genuine wax seal and gold ribbon telling you that you definitely own a Fiat 500...
I can even include any name you may have given your car and any history you may wish to make up. Celebrity owners etc to enhance the value can be added at no extra cost .. repeat NO EXTRA COST.
This certificate may be accepted as proof of ownership, possible entrance to exclusive car shows, reduced utility bills and shopping bills at leading supermarkets.. In addition it may also increase your mpg and overall performance, so well worth the investment...
