Hi,

I have a Punto Mk2 and at the moment it doesn't have central locking... could somebody maybe give me some advice on how easy it would be to fit a central locking kit... for a beginner/intermediate ... also if anybody has any ideas of what kit to get and where from, for a cheap price then also can you let me know... (preferably remote central locking too)

Also... if anybody knows how i could convert standard roll up windows into electric windows without hassle?

Trying to do everything off the cheap as im 17 and have to pay monstrous amounts for insurance!

Thanks in advance

Billy

Big Difference in doors etc from MK1 a doddle to MK2 not a doddle for CDL

as for windows you maybe be best going to scrappys and look at the fixings for cdl and windows
I looked at CDL on mk2 and central locking is part of the lock and not easy to get at if not fitted

been a while since ive been online! sorry guys..

and ive had problems with maplins alarms before so not sure if its gonna be worth it?

And Karbine, what sort of hassle will this be? .. obviously have to take the door panels off... but will it be stupidly hard or was it easy ?

Yep, best buying a universal kit and just chucking the actuaters that come with it out. get to a scrapyard and buy the door lock mechanisms from a punto with central locking. Swap door lock mechanisms over and wires the universal central locking modle directly to these. works a charm and means you don't have to faf about fitting actuators into the doors, and its less likely to go wrong. Check my guide for how to do this... https://www.fiatforum.com/punto-guides/155744-remote-central-locking-alarm-non-c-l-mk2.html
