My exhaust has been blowing and we think we have worked out the problem to be the cat.
I have been looking at prices to try to get an idea of how much it will cost to replace but i am having little luck.
Does anyone know rughly how much it will cost to replace the cat on a 2001 (Y) 1.6 Bravo?
Thanks for any help

Ok, been looking furthur.
If i remember the car is a 1.6 100 SX.
Does anyone know if i can replace just the cat (which seems to be about £60 for parts) or will i need a manifold cat to replace the one on there which costs a fair but more?
I am just after a rough estimation from anyone or any information that can be given to see just how screwed i am.

Being a Y reg it will be the manifold cat type.
www.onlineautomotive.co.uk do them at £218.44 including delivery and VAT which is the cheapest I have seen.

Could always visit a scrap yard?

Thanks for the help
I saw the online automotive which i may have to go to.
The strange bit is that the cat is not welded to the manifold, it looks like the cat should just unbolt which is weird as the pic of the cat and manifold look like they are welded together (and it is a indipendant garage who can not get the part needed said that). Going to a Fiat dealership on Thursday as apart from internet it seems like the only place to go.

For what it's worth I recently bought a back box for an Alfa 156 from onlineautomotive . . was very cheap, collected it from them in Northampton. No problems with it . . . .

Went to dealer today, part look correct so i ordered one from the last site. Dealer wanted to charge about £375ish with a discount (saying over 400 normally). I walked away straight away.
Hopefully the cat will be delivered soon, i need the work done by the end of next week as i have a new job and need the car to get there. MOT is due next month too.
Now to find s place to fit for cheap.

Does anyone know how easy it is to fit the cat? If it is simple i might get a mate or two around to have a go when i have the part, will save on costs alot.
