General Cat converter covering (mesh or gause)

Hi Everyone need some help today i was driving down to town and i could hear a rattle from underneath passenger side seat so i asked my friends son to have a look andhe tells me the mesh around the cat is loose dose anyone know the way this is supposed to be fastend down all replys gratefully appriciated

It is knackered and really needs replacement.

As a a temp measure you can put a large self tapper through the bottom of the car to hold the insert in place.

Cheers rally just what i didnt want to hear so il have look for another do i have to replace the whole lot or just that part not mechanicly minded

I've just re-read this, it might not be the internals that are knackered, it might just be the exterior mesh.

Remove the mesh and revisit.

Aye rallycinq just been to garage had me little sei up and it was the exterior mesh and was told to order another thanks for that
