Car theft in Coventry

Hi All

Has anyone seen/heard anything in or around the coventry area with car thefts.

Twice in the last four months, I've returned to my car, with no signs of forced entry, the car locked but the boot open and items missing.

This last one is now in CCTV, but wondered if anyone had seen/heard anything around the same thing - if it is a fiat security issue, or it may be wider/more models.

What sort of things go missing?

Have you had the car from new? Was it brought locally? Have you got both keys?

I Have the car from new - and was bought in York. I have both keys.

As I say, I'm just worried about a possible security flaw - as I know 100% the boot was locked when I left (I had previously had a theft from my car boot - so am paranoid about the boot being locked/shut)

turns out I'm not on the cctv camera - it just doesn't cover where I was parked.

good news is that there is no damage to the car, so it's not gonna cost me anything to get it fixed. bad news is that I have no confidence in the car's security any more.

i have two fiat puntos nd the key to my older one also opens my newer one so im guessing my two cars are not the only case. (

it probably means that both sets of Key locks were seriously worn out
That any key would have probably done it!

To copy a Key isn't hard - timpsons its just £4
Its an easy entry and hardly any evidence to nick the £50 sat nav in the boot

i bought one of these as my 1.2 was alarm less it has a pager included which has 2 mile radius just a thought and fitted it in a dry day
