General Can't fit rear wiper blade (Bosch H840) to 59 plate.

Hi,

I just bought a new rear wiper blade from Halfords and tried to fit it in the dark as I thought it was a quick clip-off clip-on job.

The old one popped out no problem but the new one (which is exactly the same as the old one) won't hold in place. This morning I had another look in the daylight and it still won't attach, I'm wondering if there's a clip that I may have lost in the dark as there looks to be a groove that may have held something.

Can anyone let me know if this is the case and where I can buy a single rear wipe blade clip from? If not it's possible I may have broken the arm in some way so I may need to buy a new one if those. Any guide with photographs someone could point me to would also be really useful, I've had no joy on Google or YouTube.

You've probably sorted it now, but, our 59 plate was exactly the same, turns out the tiny plastic clips that go over the wiper blade had snapped off, though the blade stays put, I ordered a new arm off Ebay job done(£7), just one nut. The only issue I've noticed is that the arm pressure against the glass is weak, does wipe Ok but not as good as I would have expected, not sure if its the replacement arm or in general.
