I lifted the rubber mats to get at the transmission tunnel just now and found that they're more gaffer tape than mat. There are bits missing and aftermarket rubber mats over the originals to hide the tears. They need to go.
Several places do carpet for the 500. I'm sure some are better than others. Can you recommend a good one?
