Hi this is totally ****ed up i cant get my head around this,i have a fiat seicento sporting 98 it ran out of petrol outside my house so i put 2 gallon in it and it still wont go ive had both supply and return hoses off the throttle body and also the fuel filter next the tank and it dosnt seem to be pumping the fuel yet when you turn on the ignition you hear the pump go for a second or 2then stop as usual please help someone as ive actually sold the car and its being collected tomorrow the car isnt a lemon this is totally out of the blue!!!!!!!!!!

Check that the emergency fuel shutoff has not tripped, reset if required or you could give the car a good shake to get the fuel moving.

were would i find the shutoff and how is it reset?why would it have tripped all i have done is turn it ova on the key?

Not 100% sure but should be in the passenger footwell near the centre consul.

Ok thanks il av a look tomorrow,could the fuel pump get blocked? Is there a filter fitted to the pump its self in the tank?
