Hi, im new to the site and cant seem to see what replies people have given in answers to peoples questions so have to ask my self, we have a 03 plate automatic 2.0L petrol Fait Ulysse and we are looking to purchase a caravan, but not sure if our car will have the pulling power, tho the weight of the car is right for the caravan we are looking at. Any help would be great thanks.

We have a 2004 petrol ulysse manual gearbox, it tows ok, when we hit a hill we have to change down to 3rd gear, but generally ok on the straight, we find when you hit 60mph the car starts to pull very well but this is your maximum speed on a dual carriageway so we have to watch our speed, we only average 21mpg when towing, weight of our caravan is 1100kg loaded, the ulysse can only tow a max of 1300kg.
As you have a automatic you should be ok.
