I'm currently paying just over £1k for my insureance, which I thought was good, considering it was my first car, I had only been driving for 4 months, and I was 18 and male, it renews in a few weeks so started getting some quotes so I know how much overtime I need to do.

I'm currently with MoreThan, and had no problems with them, got their brakedown cover as well, which I want to get next time as well, seeing as they came out for free when I shut my keys in the boot .

I got a quote for around £780 fully comp, thats for a 1.2 Fiat Punto 2001, I'll be 19 when it renews, got an access of £550 (Which is the same to what I have at the moment), no other drivers (Dont want to risk putting parents as named diver incase I need to make a claim). I've also done Pass Plus, which I dont think works online, so I may phone up later.

I'm pretty happy with paying £780 considering my age. But is it a good price?

I'm going to shop around to see what else I can get, I tried Tescos as I work there so get 15% off, but it was more than what I'm paying now. I also want to get fully comp, although I've only crashed twice (Once wasn't my fault, and it wasn't worth making a claim), and once was sort of my fault (They braked on a green light), but there was no damage at all as it was only at about 5mph. Cant afford not to have fully comp really.

Can anyone recomend any places to try? Thanks :)

This is odd, I went to phone MoreThan today, and at the options they said 'If you are phoning and your insureance runs out within 30 days press xx.' Which was rather annoying seeing as on the site, its 45 days. So now I've got to wait even longer >.<.

I've tried Tescocompare.com gocompre.com and confused.com, and they are still over £1k, so I think I'll stay with MoreThan if its still going to be the same price in a few weeks.

ooooo, that would be great. However, the online quote hasn't taken my pass plus in to account, so I'm hoping that its going to be cheaper as well.
