I have a 2012 Fiat Ducato that will not fire up even though it is turning over,The fuse box on the drivers side is making a ticking noise like shown in the video and the dials on the dash are moving around by themselves. I have checked the battery/earth leads/fuses/Relays and all are good but there is no power getting to the radio/headlights/hazrds lights of central locking.
Any one have any similar issues?

Hi Ireland007, My 1996 Ducato makes a very similar noise with a bad earth. Have you tried the, connect a jump lead to neg. battery terminal then to engine, trick. Presuming your van is negative earthed. Ian

I tried that and no luck there, tnx.

The possible causes are numerous, and locating the precise one will require some fault finding.

What is happening is that a relay in the fusebox is being operated via the ignition key, When the relay conacts close the load which could be a short circuit is causing the supply to the relay coil to collapse. The relay releases and with the voltage across its coil now OK, it operates again.......

Several of the relays in the cab fusebox (B002) have both the coil, and contact supplied via the acessories contact of the ignition switch, which could have a faulty accessories contact, or connection.

If electrical fault finding is not in your skillset, then perhaps you need the services of an automotive electician.
