Technical cambelt change 100sx weekend

Hi just bought a 100sx with 60000 miles on the clock with full fiat service history.Would the cambelt have been changed in that time, if not can i change it myself without any special tools.Also i will change the tensioners how many are there.

is that a 1.9ltr TD100 diesel or a 1.8ltr petrol?

Get it done ! worth doing it for added piece of mind! For the tools you would need its probably just as cheap to find a good garage who would undertake the work for you.

What the hell was that! common cry of other road users as the doblo over takes up a hill fully laiden at 90

belt change is at 72k miles
one tensioner and one idler bearing as far as i can remember, there are special tools too get tdc, lock the cams and adjust the tensioner.
you could get around the cams and tdc but i cant think of a way too adjust the tensioner with out the correct tool.
so no.
