I have a Grundig CD changer and was promised the cable from the seller at a later date. For some reason he's disappeared (is a BOO member so more worried than annoyed) so I'm still in need of the cable.

Would anyone be prepared to part with theirs? :)

I would be willing to send you mine, but ive got no idea how to remove it, i dont want to start pulling up carpets and things tho.......

I've got a 98 HLX , if that would have one as standard you can have it , where do i look to see if its there ?

The cable is in the boot hanging down from either the left or right hand side under the parcel shelf supports. It would (I believe) involve lifting up carpets or unscrewing the plastic from the bottom of the door frame to remove it.

I will appreciate it if it's a bit daunting and please don't take something on you're not comfortable with.

Cheers. :)

Yep , gotta cable hanging down on the left under the support , black cable with round connector , got 7 pins in a semi-circle and a centre pin , sound like the right thing ?

If so let us know how it comes out and i'll have a go tonight

That's the chap.

Can anyone help on the "How to take it out" front? I would guess you can just pull the seats forward to remove it from the rear and take the stereo out (from the guide - http://www.bravo-guide.co.uk/ice.htm#remove ) to unclip it from the rear of the unit. I would guess that it also goes under the plastic at the bottom of the door frames which simply unscrew?

Thanks for the effort Andy. Appreciated. :)

As before i'll start pulling it out tonight , wont be attached at the headunit as i've gotta pioneer .
Whereabouts are you , maybe able to meet or else post it ? .

Top man!

I'm in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. Are you going to Stanford Hall Andy?

@ Cynic - I hope we are still talking about changer cables here? ;) lol.

I'm near uxbridge , could possibly meet you at the services on the A1/M25 ?

was trying to sell to oz @ brooklands but he wouldn't buy it :/

Got a years MOT now so it's off in the paper this week, lets see if i can get it sold!

I MAY have one at the weekend. Mate bought a Trofeo last week but no changer. I presumed the changer came as standard in these. If so I'll whip it out for ya when I fit his new stereo for him

Is it easy to get out then Wimmy seeing as you done it before ?

Wow! Cheers for all the offers guys. I haven't had that many offers since some fekker put a "Get it here" sign on my back while walking through Kings Cross station. ;)

@ Andy - cheers for the offer mate but I really don't want to put you out. Looks like a couple of the lads who will be at meets soon have got one spare so it would be simpler to get the cable from them. Thanks a million anyway pal. Appreciated.

@ Cynic - I'm afraid that if I do come for it you'll put what's left of the Pug in my boot so I think I'll give that a miss. I'm sure there's a scrap metal merchant nearby who needs some more (rust-)topsoil mate. ;)

@ Wimmy - Top notch mate. If you could bring it to Stanford (if it's there that is) that's great. :)
